A Just Like a Daughter  provider is a highly experienced social worker who can:
  • Evaluate the current function, independence, safety and general psychological well-being of your loved
    one(s) and report back to you.
  • Provide you with recommendations for improvement(s)
    suggested by the assessment.
  • Educate you to resources in your loved one’s community, complete with contact information.
  • Arrange and coordinate services to your loved one on your behalf as you desire.
  • Provide at-home counseling service under Medicare Part B.


Our Mission Statement
Just Like A Daughter  was founded as a support to the children of the elderly who are separated by distance from their loved ones. Our service includes ongoing professional assessments of the well-being of your relative at home, and communication of these assessments to you. We will listen to your concerns, and give you our assessment of the status of your relative in the areas of: performance of adult daily living skills, medication administration, safety at home, and socialization and community supports. Our service can co-exist with other at-home health services your relative may need. We are not responsible for diagnosing illness or arranging treatment. We can, however, provide at-home counseling to address certain behavioral health concerns, such as depression. What we provide is that invaluable level of concern and loyalty that you wish you could provide yourself. Immediately following each one hour visit with your relative, you will receive a synopsis of our findings. Where indicated, we can also partner with you to help arrange services provided by other agencies or individuals in your relative's community.
      Above all, Just Like a Daughter  provides reassurance; knowledge that someone trustworthy, safe and caring is regularly “checking-in” with your mother, father, aunt or other loved one.
